While these items can be purchased with the in-game currency Blue Merets in the Meret Market, those who are short on funds can also choose to wait until around level 20, or spend Mesos on a music vendor. However, obtaining a musical instrument can come at a cost, with prices ranging from 70,000 to 250,000 Mesos.
Acquiring a Musical Instrument: Alternative Methods
Obtaining a musical instrument is a requirement for MapleStory 2 street perform. Although the Meret Market offers a variety of instruments for purchase with Blue Merets, there are alternative methods for acquiring one.
One option is to wait until reaching Level 20, where a Maple Guide quest grants a free Practice Digital Piano and teaches the basics of playing music, along with the MapleStory 2 OST #2 sheet.
