Pokemon Go special events in the new World of Wonders season feature lots of challenges. The Rediscover Kanto region event is back and trainers can catch plenty of Pokemon from this region. The Rediscover Kanto is a Special Research event and has field research tasks. Rediscover Kanto region provides an opportunity for trainers to encounter their favorite Kanto region Pokemon like Machop, Wiglett and Charizard.

Throughout the Rediscover Kanto event, you can hunt for wild Pokemon, catch shiny Pokemon and claim plenty of rewards. Also, you can earn Mega Energy and unlock charged attacks of some featured Pokemon. Here’s all about Pokemon Go Rediscover Kanto event 2024, special raids, and rewards.

Pokemon Go Rediscover Kanto – Bonuses

Kanto region Pokemon will appear in biomes throughout this rediscover event. There will be plenty of bonuses in the Rediscover Kanto event like,

• Increased XP for seven-day PokéStop Spin Streak
• Increased XP for seven-day Pokémon catch streak 
• Increased Friendship Levels for trades and gifts
• Event-themed Wild Pokemon
•  Shiny Bulbasaur, Shiny Charmander, and Shiny Squirtle will spawn in respective biomes and the spawning rate will increase during event days

Featured Attacks in Rediscover Kanto 

Evolving some Pokémon during the Rediscover event will grant a featured attack. Here’s what you can unlock,

• Evolve Ivysaur to unlock Venusaur with the charged attack, Frenzy Plant 
• Evolve Charmeleon to unlock Charizard with the charged attack, Blast Burn 
• Evolve Wartortle to unlock Blastoise with the charged attack, Hydro Cannon

Field Research Tasks

The Rediscover Kanto event features event-themed Field Research Tasks. You have to power-up some Pokemon five times to get their mega energy. You will earn mega energy of these three Pokemon,

• Venusaur Mega Energy
• Charizard Mega Energy
• Blastoise Mega Energy

The Rediscover Kanto region event features five special research tasks and you can claim plenty of rewards and catch wild Pokemon as well.

Part 1 (Rewards – 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, 1 Lucky Egg)

• Use 5 Berries and Catch a Pokemon – Bulbasaur Encounter 
• Feed your Buddy Pokemon 5 times – Charmander Encounter 
• Catch 20 Kanto region original Pokemon – Squirtle Encounter

Part 2 (Rewards – 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, 3 Fast TM)

• Use 10 Berries to Catch a Pokemon – 20 Poke Balls
• Play With Your Buddy 3 Times – 15 Great Balls
• Catch 30 Kanto Region Original Pokemon – 20 Ultra Balls

Part 3 (Rewards – 5000, XP, 2500 Stardust, 3 Charge TM)

• Use 15 Berries and catch a Pokémon – 10 Razz Berry 
• Earn 25 Hearts With a Buddy Pokemon – 10 Nanab Berry 
• Catch 40 Kanto Region Original Pokemon – 10 Pinap Berry

Part 4 (Rewards – 5000 XP, 2500 Stardust, 1 Lure)

• Use 20 Berries and Catch a Pokemon – 25 Candy 
• Earn 4 Candies by Exploring with a Buddy Pokemon – 25 Candy
• Catch 30 Kanto Region Original Pokemon – 25 Candy

Part 5 (Rewards – 10000 Stardust, 1 Egg Incubator)

• Use 151 Berries and Catch a Pokemon – 15100 XP 
• Earn 15100 Stardust – 15100 XP 
• Catch 151 Kanto Region Original Pokemon – 15100 XP
