How to get Wild Hearts Small Kemono Shell Skin

If you’re trying to get your hands on some Small Kemono Shell Skin in Wild Hearts, there are a few things you can do to increase your chances. First, you’ll need to play through the game until you reach Chapter 3, which will unlock access to invasive species of Small Kemono. These creatures drop higher-grade materials for better gear upgrades, so they’re definitely worth hunting down.

To get Small Kemono Shell Skin specifically, you’ll want to focus on two invasive species in particular: the Grassghoul Decapod and the Deadleaf Slater. The Grassghoul Decapod is a bit of a mixed bag, as it drops both Small Kemono Shell Skin and Crustaceous Moss when killed. This can be great if you need both materials, but if you’re only after the Shell Skin, it can be a bit frustrating. Either way, hunting these invasive species is your best bet for getting your hands on the Small Kemono Shell Skin you need.

Creature location

If you’re wondering where to find this creature, head over to the Akikure Canyon in Chapter 3. It’s an invasive species that you’ll encounter in this area. Fortunately, there is a reliable spawn location for them, which you can locate easily using the map pictured above.

It’s important to note that while the Deadleaf Slater drops the Small Kemono Shell Skin material, you cannot obtain it by petting the Small Kemono creature. Attempting to do so will result in a different material being obtained. Therefore, killing the Deadleaf Slater is the only reliable way of acquiring this particular material. So, make sure to keep an eye out for the Deadleaf Slater in the Akikure Canyon, and defeat them to obtain the Small Kemono Shell Skin material needed for your crafting endeavors.
