Want to know how to get a Black Desert Online horse? There are many ways to get it and we have discussed all of them in this article.

Black Desert Online is an MMORPG that features horses as a means of transportation. In the game, players can purchase, breed, and train horses to use for riding and racing. Each horse has its own unique set of stats and abilities, and players can customize the appearance of their horses with different gear and equipment. There are also various horse skills that players can unlock and upgrade as they progress through the game.

Players in Black Desert Online start their journey with a donkey mount, which is not as fast or impressive as riding a horse. If you are a beginner player or new to the game, it is recommended that you obtain a horse as soon as possible. This guide will provide instructions on how to get a Black Desert Online horse.

How to get a Black Desert Online horse

Players who want to obtain a mount in the Black Desert Online through traditional breeding methods can do so by using the mount breeding system, which is known for having complex mechanics. To breed horses, players must possess both a male and a female horse, and both horses must have enough breeding points.

The breeding process can take up to three hours, after which players will receive a new horse with a randomly selected gender and a single skill. This can be a profitable method for players, as they can sell the newly bred horses for a profit. However, players should be aware that each female horse, also known as a mare, can only give birth to a limited number of horses, so it’s important to carefully plan out the breeding process.

The most efficient way to get a horse in Black Desert Online is by visiting a Stable Keeper in a city and purchasing a Tier One horse for 15,000 silver. These horses come in either brown or gray, depending on the emblem chosen from the Stable Keeper. While these Tier One horses have a low base speed of 95%, they can be trained to higher tiers and have their stats improved through patience and Life Skill training.

Players have the option to purchase horses from the Horse Market, which can be accessed at any Stable Keeper. In the Horse Market, players can browse Tier 1 to Tier 9 horses that have been listed by other players, as well as other fantastical mounts. The prices of the horses are determined by their level, skills, tier, and other stats.

Players who have a large amount of silver and are looking for a temporary mount can consider renting a horse from another player. While this is a more expensive option, it may be worth it for those who have the resources to do so. To rent a horse, players must go to a Stable Keeper NPC and select the rent option, followed by Rental List.

From there, players can browse through the available Black Desert Online horse, which ranges from Tier 1 to Tier 8, and filter the options to fit their budget. Rental mounts last for up to a week and can still gain experience points, but they are locked to the original owner’s equipment and cannot be modified.

At level 20, players can attempt to tame wild horses, which have the potential to have base speeds between 104% and 109% and be up to Tier 5. However, taming a wild horse is not a straightforward process and requires some skill and effort.

How to tame a horse in Black Desert Online

To begin the process of taming a wild Black Desert Online horse, players must purchase multiple lassos from the Stable Keeper NPC. They will also need to craft Lumps of Raw Sugar using Raw Sugar and Mineral Water to feed the horse. Searching for wild horses in the fields can be a rare occurrence, so players may need to spend some time looking for one to tame. Once a wild horse has been found, players can then proceed with the taming process.

To tame a horse in this game, the player must first aim their lasso at the horse and throw it successfully, which has a 50% chance of initiating the taming process. If the lasso connects with the horse, it will stand on its hind legs, signaling the start of a mini-game. To win this mini-game, the player must press the Space Bar repeatedly to fill a meter.

If the meter is on the “WIN” side when the mini-game ends, the player will be able to move closer to the horse. This process will be repeated until the horse stands on its hind legs again, at which point the player will have to complete another meter mini-game to continue taming the horse. It’s important to note that the player must win these mini-games in order to successfully tame the horse.

Feed the horse

As players get closer to the horse during the taming process, they can increase their chances of success by feeding the horse Lumps of Raw Sugar that they have crafted. Once they are close enough, they will be able to mount the horse. However, if the horse bucks them off, they will have to start the taming process again.

Keep in mind

If they are successful in taming and riding the Black Desert Online horse, they will need to take the horse to a Stable Keeper to register it. This will allow them to use the horse for transportation and other tasks in the game. It’s important to note that taming and riding a horse can be a challenging process, but it can also be very rewarding once players have successfully registered a horse at a Stable Keeper.

While completing the mini-games is an important part of the horse taming process, it does not guarantee that the player will be successful in taming the horse. It is advisable for players to come prepared with extra lassos and food in case their initial attempts at taming the horse fails.

The player can then continue taming the horse without having to gather more supplies. Please note that taming a horse is not an easy task, and it may take several attempts to succeed. However, by being prepared and persistent, players can eventually tame the horse of their choice.
