Here are the Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl Tips and Tricks

Make a good choice at your start

In Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, the old custom of selecting a Fire, Water, or Grass starter is revived. But the composition of dungeons and gyms has a significant influence on your choice. Choose Chimchar, the fire-based monkey Pokemon, for a much simpler time. With a few exceptions, while dealing with water-based regions, its mix of Fire- and Fighting-type techniques will be effective. The other two are very equally matched, however, Turtwig has a little edge in terms of the most difficult experience of the three.

In the end, it doesn’t matter whatever starter you choose. You must form a group around your pick.

The EXP Share makes it simple to level up your team

The beautiful thing about developing around is that the automatic EXP Share means you don’t have to waste your time raising poor first-evolution Pokemon. Every healthy Pokemon in your party will level up as long as you’re battling. Making it simpler than ever to build a squad ready for taking on the Elite Four. Don’t be scared to have a party full of weak Pokemon. Simply by accompanying you on your journey, they will get stronger.

Get your Mew and Jirachi for free

Mew was formerly one of the most elusive Pokemon, only obtainable through unique giveaways or dubious game tricks. Nintendo is now much more generous with the charming little psychic cat, and Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are no exception. Simply having to save data from Pokemon Sword/Shield and Pokemon Let’s Go allows you to claim the legendary Mew and Jirachi. Save data from Sword and Shield will give you a Jirachi, while data from Let’s Go will give you Mew.

Although not right at the beginning, both of them can be accessed fairly early in the game. To the left of the entrance to Floaroma town, you’ll see an elderly couple standing together in a field of flowers. Your two free Pokemon can be obtained by speaking with each of them.

Exploring the Grand Underground is a must

You’ll be able to see the Underground Man’s residence after you get to Eterna City. You can venture down to the Grand Underground when he gives you the Explorer Kit. This is an easy way to get rich quickly and add some of the most powerful Pokemon in history to your team. This will be before you’ve even picked up your second badge, from mining walls and finding uncommon goods to sell to exploring Hideaways and capturing rare Pokemon like Houndour and Larvitar. It’s almost as though you’re cheating.

Trainer battles should never be avoided

When you’re traveling the world, you’ll often come across trainers that are eager to fight you. While you are allowed to avoid them if you require healing and need to go on with your life, don’t do so frequently. Trainer battles earn you more experience than wild Pokemon battles, and the game is designed with the assumption that you’ll be interacting with all, or at least the majority, of the trainers distributed across the environment. If you skip too many, you’ll have to combat or grind them again.

In Settings, you may speed up your battles

Pokemon is recognized for several things, but one of them isn’t fast-paced combat. You may use the Options menu to change some of the parameters to make your battles go a little faster. If you want things to move ahead a bit faster, you may turn off fight animations and the request to name your newly-caught Pokemon, as well as modify the text speed. You may also disable the request to swap Pokemon when your opponent does, which saves time but puts you at a strategic disadvantage in type matches.

Make use of your teammates

You’ll be briefly teamed with an NPC a couple of times during Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. This occurs early in the woods when you’re matched with a companion who can assist you in keeping your Pokemon healthy. Use this to your advantage by grinding a bit harder in the region, since having continual healing means you won’t have to go back to town to stay healthy.
