Call of Duty Warzone has a large arsenal of weapons, so variety is the spice of life. Verdansk ’84 and Rebirth Island have dozens of viable options, but only a handful can be called the best Warzone weapons.
A handful of weapons dominate the battle royale, from SMGs that shred at close range to laser beam assault rifles. You seriously hurt your chances of winning a glorious victory if you don’t use one of our best Warzone guns in your loadout. It is the last season of the Black Ops Cold War, and it aims to level the playing field by nerfing some of the more powerful but high-skill weapons, such as the EM2. In Season 6, we’ve also seen the Krig 6 lose their dominance, and the Warzone meta has been fairly balanced.
By the end of the limited-time Operation: Flashback encore mode for Verdansk, which is scheduled to run until Dec 9, the weapon meta should remain fairly stable. In Warzone Pacific, they’re gearing up for the future. There is still time for Season 1 and Vanguard integration to change the meta yet again. Call of Duty Warzone Weapon Tier List of Assault Rifles
S Tier
- XM4
- EM2
- AK-47 (BOCW)
For mid-to-long range engagements, the EM2, AK-47 from Black Ops Cold War, and XM4 remain the leading choices in the Warzone meta. In terms of TTKs and handling, their abilities are simply a notch above the rest, and it simply comes down to preference between the three.

There are a variety of options in A Tier that are top-tier viable as well as generally very balanced to use in Warzone. Although these options are outside the core meta, they are still capable of getting the job done and allowing you to be competitive. There are several reliable ARs on the market, such as the FARA 83, Krig 6, RAM-7, QBZ-83, CR-56 AMAX, M4A1, and GRAV.
For those who play solo, the FFAR1 is only worth considering as a sniper support weapon, as well as an AS VAL. Due to its limited availability on the Battle Pass, the STG 44 cannot be ranked any higher at the moment, since players cannot customize the new gun’s attachments.
B Tier
- M13

As we saw with the AK-47 (BOCW) and XM4, which ranked here in previous tier lists, these weapons in B Tier are still viable. It could still use some buffs to encourage more players to use them. If you enjoy playing Warzone more casually and don’t like constantly unlocking and ranking up guns, the Grau 5.56 is a great choice for you.
C Tier

A lot of the rifles in the C Tier could use some improvement in Warzone. This is not only unfortunate but also a sign of the current meta in that all four of these guns and the ones below them, are from Modern Warfare.
D Tier

- AK-47 (MW)
These ARs are far from having a place in the meta at this point in the tier list. At the moment, these three D-Tier assault rifles lack a lot of features and simply won’t stand a chance.

Call of Duty Warzone Weapon Tier List of SMG
S Tier
- OTs 9
- PPSh-41
- MP5 (BOCW)
- MAC-10
Players can simply put, use these four options in close-range encounters as the best of the best. Black Ops Cold MP5 and OTs 9 are the two most deadly SMGs to use for barrel-stuffing, while MAC-10 and PPSh-41 are mobile, consistent, and forgiving ADS SMGs.

In A Tier, you will find 10 SMGs that are quite good close-ups, but those won’t exceed the S-Tier options in most cases. If you prefer any of these options over the more popular SMGs, feel free to try them all out, from the CX-9 to the Fennec. Those who play Warzone more casually and don’t like to constantly unlock and rank up new guns to keep up with the meta might enjoy the Modern Warfare MP5.
With the introduction of The Haunting event just recently, the LAPA is a balance option overall. Its potential for melting makes it an appealing option. However, due to its slow TTK of the head or missing chest, it isn’t one of the most consistent weapons.
B Tier

Six SMGs remain strong in the B Tier, although they could still use a slight buff to make them more attractive to players.

Additionally, two SMGs in C Tier have been pushed back because things have settled down. They are not viable without a buff, so don’t bother using them.
